Mann Ki Baat: Narendra Modi to address first radio show of 2017, focus on approaching board exams

New Delhi, January 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the first Mann Ki Baat of 2017 today. The radio show that is scheduled for 11:00 AM on All India Radio and Doordarshan will be focused on motivating students for the approaching Class Tenth and Class Twelfth board exams......
Tweeting out about today’s show Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier written, “The Mann Ki Baat episode on 29th January will primarily be on the various board exams coming up. It will be a programme for my young friends.” The Prime Minister is also expected to share letters and narrate stories from teachers, students and parents from across the country. The Prime Minister does annual shows that are dedicated to students and addressing their fears before the crucial exams every year. Dedication, motivation and hard work are some of the consistent messages that Modi conveys to them. Further, he has always maintained that the levels of stress that students in India undergo before exams must come down.......

The episode is crucial in many respects, primarily because it is the first one of the year. The show, however, had to be cleared by the Election Commission of India in view of the upcoming assembly elections in five key states. The EC gave clearance to the Prime Minister on Saturday but on the condition that the subject of the election would not be broached. Clarifying the point, the EC informed the Information & Broadcasting Ministry, that there should be nothing in the address  “that might act as inducement to voters.” (ALSO READ: PM Modi to share his thoughts in 28th edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’)...
The Prime Minister’s last address on the radio show was held on December 26th and was his second one post the implementation of demonetisation by the government. He had then vowed to carry forward the war against corruption and black money and said, “I assure you that this is not the end. This is just the beginning in our fight against corruption. We have to win this war against corruption and black money...... There is no question of stopping or going back in this fight.”....
The programme is set to be broadcast on the entire network of All India Radio, Doordarshan and the Narendra Modi App on 11 AM  today morning. Further, Akashvani will broadcast the show in regional languages immediately after the Hindi broadcast. There will be a repeat broadcast of the same at 8 PM. The youtube channels of the ministry of information and broadcasting, the Prime Minister’s Office and All India Radio will also be broadcasting the show live. Also, missed call can be given on 1922 to hear the Mann Ki Baat episode on mobile phones.......
